2026 marks our 7th time participating in the STEP for bleeding Disorders fundraiser!

In 2019 our family became part of the rare statistical group to have a baby with Severe Hemophilia A without having any known family history and we were completely blindsided. Thankfully BDASC (previously known as Hemophilia of South Carolina) came to our rescue to help us navigate our new normal. As Thomas has grown and we encounter new challenges (becoming mobile, starting school, playing sports, losing teeth, learning how access his veins for factor replacement, and teaching Thomas to care for his condition independantly for a few examples) BDASC continues to be a critical lifeline to ensure that Thomas has the opportunity to live a long and healthy life. Because we personally benefit greatly from the services offered by BDASC we want to do our part to ensure these programs stay available for all families affected by a bleeding disorder both now and in the future.
