This August, I’ll be joining the Timmerman Traverse in California’s High Sierras to raise funds for the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation.

As many of you know, much of my work, whether with my patients or at Pi Health, has been dedicated to improving cancer care and reducing the immense suffering cancer causes for patients and their loved ones.

Over the years, I’ve personally seen patients benefit from lifesaving breakthroughs pioneered by Damon Runyon-supported scientists, including advances like CAR-T therapy and immunotherapy. Seeing those impacts firsthand is one of the reasons this mission feels so meaningful to me.

That’s why I’m honored to support Damon Runyon this summer through the Timmerman Traverse.

About the Traverse

Each year, the Timmerman Traverse brings together leaders across biotech and healthcare to raise money for bold, early-career cancer researchers pursuing ideas that could change the future of cancer treatment.

This year’s challenge is hiking California’s High Sierras.

I’m not an experienced mountaineer, and this experience will definitely push me outside my comfort zone. But this cause matters deeply to me, and I wanted to challenge myself in support of it.
