Hello There!
This year Gaia (my puppers) and I will be hanging out at Rolling Hills County Park on May 16th for the yearly Walk & Wag and Run event! This will be our first time attending and I am sure the dog party and 5k will be a great time, hopefully I can keep up with Gaia on the 5k! This yearly event is hosted by the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) and if you do not know of this non-profit animal shelter let me take a minute to fill ya in! The HSHV brings in a variety of animals from different situations such as strays, cruelty cases and surrenders. The HSHV is a no-kill shelter and they have no time limit for animals in need; even if it takes months or years of training, medical care and TLC, they'll stick with an animal until they find just the right home. The HSHV had 5200 adoptions in 2025 and already have 2803 in 2026 for a save rate of 95%! That's many happy critters in new homes making happy humans! I could go on for hours about how amazing the HSHV is but let's do that at the event!
All that being said, the HSHV counts on us as a community, to provide for these animals which also requires donations.
