The HSHV Volunteers are fundraising for Walk and Wag and Run! Can you help us reach our goal? Did you know that in 2025 our volunteers contributed over 162,000 hours to our shelter? This is the time equivalent of 77 full-time staff members!
As volunteers, we see first-hand the difference you make in animals' lives. Whether we're reading to a frightened dog to earn their trust, feeding breakfast to a roomful of kittens, carrying puppies off the Love Train for a new chance at life, working a free vaccine clinic or teaching youth how to care for animals -- we know this is all possible because of our amazing community. We're proud to be a part of this mission, and hope you will be too!
HSHV is a no-kill shelter, with no time limits for animals; even if it takes months or years of training, medical care and TLC, they'll stick with an animal until they find just the right home. Read more about HSHV and what your donation does at www.hshv.org/aboutus.
