Naomi is a 14-year-old Meru girl from Igembe North and will graduate from Daraja with the Class of 2028. She lives with her parents and five siblings. Her parents are farmers, and their harvest is only enough to meet their family’s basic food needs, making school fees a constant challenge. They live in a one-room timber house in Mwerene Village, where the nearest borehole is far away and drought is common.
Healthcare in her area is also limited, which is why Naomi aspires to become a doctor and establish health services in her community, helping people live longer, healthier lives. Naomi enjoys playing football and hopes to develop her talent to one day play professionally. She also loves drawing, as it allows her to express her creativity.
When she arrived at Daraja, Naomi felt that her dreams were within reach while also stepping into an environment filled with love, peace, and joy.
