I need your help! Please support me as I walk in the 2019 Capital Area Humane Society’s Walk for the Animals.

Why should you help? I can give you SO many reasons! I'll start with where I work - the CAHS Spay & Neuter clinic. Last year we fixed 6153 dogs & cats in Mid Michigan. Many of those were low cost or free for families that could not afford it. I'm so proud of the work that the entire team does at the clinic, you will not find a more caring or animal loving group around. If you or someone you know needs help getting their pet fixed, contact us at the clinic and we'll find a way to make it work!

The next reason you should help - did you see the sweet pic of the little blind dog above? That is Laney. She came from a Detroit area shelter. She had a handful of medical issues being a senior dog (10yrs), but clearly from the pic you can see her eyes were the most severe. The shelter veterinarians relieved her of excruciating pain. The surgery our vets performed now allows her to live her best pain-free doggie life possible. And it just so happens that Laney now lives with Doug & I and the rest of the fur family! We are so fortunate! She is the sweetest, most cuddly little girl around and has adjusted very quickly to having no sight - as she had VERY limited sight to start with. Thanks to CAHS, she now is a loving member of the Thoms family and we are so happy to share our home with her. 

With no state or federal funding, and no affiliation with any other humane organizations, it is solely the support of the community that keeps CAHS going. Please, help me in supporting this critical work, that helps homeless animals find warmth, comfort, and unconditional love with a forever family - pets just like Laney!
